After graduating in Fine Art from UCW Aberystwyth, Lindsay built a successful career as a photographer, running a studio in Shoreditch, London working with design, editorial and corporate clients. In the mid 90s Lindsay became a full time  picture editor, but is now returning to her first love - making  images herself mainly on design and book projects.

For Lindsay, the practical and commercial disciplines of picture editing now goes hand in hand with the creative drive of the photographic artist - the one informs the other, bringing her visual career almost full circle.

As a creative, fast thinking , visual problem solver Lindsay has spent over twenty years as a commissioning picture editor working on national newspapers and magazines including The Economist’s, Intelligent Life, The Times, The Guardian and The Financial Times. The subject matter has been wide -ranging from the technical to the esoteric.

Lindsay is a skilled and innovative commissioner and director of photography, maintaining  a great rapport with both award winning photographers and emerging talent.

She also enjoys the “treasure hunt“ of picture research to uncover the very best picture to fit the job

A collaborative Jewellery/Photography project by Anastasia Young and Lindsay Cameron.

Taking inspiration from nineteenth century engraved mourning cards, the project uses a combination of handmade and found objects to create dioramas which capture narrative fixed points in an infinite, stormy landscape of the subconscious.
